Pre-Sarah Michelle Gellar, there was only one “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” in the world – the amazing original movie, starring Kristy Swanson, Luke Perry, Paul Reubens, Donald Sutherland, and Rutger Hauer (and a very young Hilary Swank and David Arquette) It was one of my favorite movies when I was a silly junior high age girl, and it was on TV last night – my night off, my night of vegetation.
So, I curled up with two cats and watched it.
I’d forgotten how silly and awesome it is.
I’d forgotten all the zingers and one-liners and catch phrases that I had doted on once upon a time. I’d forgotten how great Kristy Swanson as Buffy was… even in the little moments, like sitting in a graveyard in a lettermans jacket asking if Merrick has any gum. I’d forgotten the amazing soundtrack – Toad the wet Sprocket, C&C Music Factory, Suzanna Hoffs.
I may have to go buy the DVD. All I’m sayin’ …

I own this. As you would expect.
