I had a completely lovely time while perusing the first-ever IndieWed bridal show in January 2010, which I found to be a clever and adorable showcse of wedding vendors more focused on individuals and celebrating quirky brides than on the mega-million dollar bridal industry machine.
I’ve also been using my IndieWed tote bag at least a few times a week. Super cute and super handy.
SO – With that said, of course I find it very exciting that a date has been announced for the 2011 show.
Next year’s show will be held on January 29, 2011. Now, I would imagine it would be at the Ravenswood Event Center like the 2010 show, as it was a nearly-perfect and pleasant venue, but that’s just me taking a guess.
I’m not entirely sure if I’ll be attending next year. After all, I’m a married lady now and don’t plan to ever have to put on a wedding again. But who knows, maybe I’ll get lucky and some friend will have gotten engaged by then, and will need my guidance. Or maybe Bob and I will just go for fun and organic coffee. You never know.

(Also -If I haven’t made it clear by now, I DO NOT ever recommend people attend the Chicago Bridal Expo. I just got another scam phone call this past week trying to rip me off by telling me they drew my name from a drawing I entered at the bridal show and I’d won a trip to Vegas…if I gave them a lot of personal information.)
