This little dude is called “I stitched a Rainbow,” (though we call him just “Stitch”) and is inspired by June being Pride Month as well as Munny Month.
I knew I wanted to do a Pride-inspired Munny this month, and the rainbow is such an iconic symbol that they seemed to go hand-in-hand.
Why the boxes? Honestly, I have no idea except that I wanted to experiment with different media.
It’s the first time I’ve used the original 7-inch Munny figure, and it’s also the first time I’ve worked with other materials. The blocks are all wood blocks from a craft store in Evanston, attached with hot glue.
All in all, he’s significantly taller than my other figures.
The project took up a good chunk of Saturday, but I think it was worth it.
Oh and – Word Up to my Clever Husband: Eric joined me in the creating process and came up with his own first Munny – the amazing Sir Horatio SteamMunky.
Next up: My first customized Bub.
(Yes, I’m a nerd. A big one.)

1. You’re going to need a bigger apartment.
2. I want to make one!
I second Lindsey’s comment.
